oscillatory spin

oscillatory spin
An aerodynamic condition in which the aircraft, although in a spin, has not fully settled down to a steady spin. In this phase, the rate of rotation and the rate of descent continually changes. This normally happens during the period when the aircraft is in an incipient spin (i.e., the first two to six turns).
Oscillatory spin.
